CARTING CLASSES:
Dogs will need basic obedience skills in order to begin carting classes. Sit, down, walking on loose leash and good attention are the foundation skills needed for carting.
Dogs can learn to cart at any age. Dogs must not pull weight until they are physically mature and conditioned for the sport. Most breeds do not begin to pull weight until they are two years of age.
Please check with your veterinarian before allowing your dog to pull a weighted cart.
Once your dog has learned the basics of carting you may wish to join the All Breed Draft Club of Tidewater.
